Khabib Nurmagomedov has a bad news for Floyd Mayweather after the boxing legend named his price for a crossover fight.
Since Mayweather announced he is coming out of retirement for a third time, there were speculations that the UFC lightweight champion could be a potential opponent for his return fight.
The grappling specialist has been vocal about his desire for a crossover fight but he said he wants to do it 11 rounds in boxing and one round in mixed martial arts.
“If you want to make [the] fight, we can make [the] fight like this: 11 rounds… box, 1 round MMA,” Khabib said.
“If you make deal, we can fight…we have $100 million offer to fight him at middleweight. We have offer.”
“I think Mayweather, he’s a very big name. He’s a very big name. Right now, I have big name too. We can fight.”
“But we need like, 11 round box, 1 round MMA. Let’s go, I’m ready.”
Worth The Risk
Mayweather, who was in London last week for a press conference, revealed that talks are now ongoing for the mega-fight with either Khabib or Conor McGregor but it comes with a huge price.
The undefeated boxing legend said he needs $600 million to go out and risk.
The American boxer hasn’t fought since his 10th round technical knockout of ‘The Notorious’ in a clash dubbed as the most lucrative fight in combat sports history, where he reportedly earned an eye-popping $275 million salary.
“We talked about on social media, there’s two names right now. We talked about the Conor McGregor fight, we talked about the Khabib fight,” he said (via Mirror).
“For myself, the number is $600 million. If I’m going to go out there and risk it, it’d have to be worth it.”

First I want to congratulate every other athlete on this list and second I am honored to have accomplished such record breaking numbers. No disrespect to anyone but I did these numbers really in 5 years due to a couple of layoffs and with NO endorsements. I never wanted an endorsement deal from anyone because my vision was always to be my own boss and have no obligations to anyone. So I started my own promotion company and own brand (TMT) in which we are continuing to grow and soon will be the endorsers. You can say what you want about Floyd Mayweather but the numbers and accolades don’t lie. This is truly about hard work and dedication and knowing your worth. @mayweatherpromotions @themoneyteam
At the UFC 249 press conference last Friday, Nurmagomedov finally responded to Mayweather’s demand when he was asked by ESPN’s Mark Raimondi about the $600 million fight paycheck.
“$600 million to fight with me? Who is going to give him this money?” Khabib asked.
Raimondi told Khabib: “Not me.”
Then the Russian fighter replied, “Not me too. I don’t think Dana [White] is going to give him $600 million.”
Khabib is set to defend hi lightweight title next month when he takes on Tony Ferguson in the main event of UFC 249 dubbed as the most anticipated fight in UFC history.
He is coming off a third-round submission of Dustin Poirier and remains undefeated in his professional career with a 28-0 win-loss record.
